One day, I decided that it would be an awesome idea to do a mural on my son’s wall. I’d design it on the computer and then use an overhead projector to blow the image up. Then I’d trace it on the wall and the last step would be to paint it. I’d seen it done on a blog, surely I could do it. My husband shook his head and said, “I’m not cleaning that crap up.”
Oh, and I was 8 months pregnant.
I got as far as designing it on my computer and borrowing an overhead projector (which, holy crap, I just realized I never returned…).
Then, I said, “What the hell are you thinking?” and went to my super creative and talented BFF. Etsy. And, I stumbled upon It’s Written on the Wall.
I was saved. My family and friends would think I was so super creative and my husband and I would stay married.
Just LOOK at how cute our little reading nook turned out?
It would have been a disaster had I tried that. My child would have been trying to emulate the writing of a left handed hamster as he sat at his desk. Dodged a bullet for sure.
